Love my little guy

So we went to great grandma's house on Sunday to spend some time with her and grandpa. We had a blast. Wyatt ran around everywhere. He also walked around the backyard with grandpa. We had lunch there and Wyatt pretty much ate most of his fries and burger. He had so much fun there that he fell asleep for a good hour straight. And then some more sleeping on my chest!

It's been quite a while... and boy has he grown!!!

So Wyatt is now almost 2 years old!!  OMG, how time flies.  And along the flying time, how much he has grown!!!  This kid is growing like a weed.  He says quite a few words like Dada, ball, thank you, hi and bye bye.  It's actually really cute when he says Bye Bye because he walks away and waves as he's saying bye bye.  He's just too cute!  But of course, i'm probably being biased.  haha. But lately his favorite words are Oh man. When his toys fall or he trips he says "Oh man!" We have a difficult time trying to get him to say please. He'll repeat almost any word you say. But once you say please, he just stops and looks at you funny. He does know how to say thank you though. Oh, he also says "here you go" and "see you". And of course, his favorite word, no.

On labor day weekend, we went to Sacramento gold rush Days. We had a blast and Wyatt was dressed up as a little cowboy. He had his dual six shooters (don't worry, it's fake), his boots and hat. He was so cute that we were constantly stopped because people wanted a good look at him. Even the actors loved his outfit. After one of the reenactments, Wyatt wanted to play with his guns to and get the bad guys. Then as we started walking back to the car, Wyatt spotted some steps and decided it was time for him to take a break, sit down and have a nice cold drink of water. So we put him in his stroller, headed back to the car. As soon as the car started, he was out.

I love the gold rush Days. Can't wait for next year. But our next stop is the Renaissance fair.

From birth to now

I can't believe that Wyatt is now a year and 4 months old...  Time has gone by so fast!  It's exciting but sad at the same time.  It seems like it was just yesterday he was just learning how to roll over.  Ugh.  My baby doesn't look like a baby anymore.  He's really looking like a kid more and more every day.  So i figured I'd post up pictures from birth to now.

Sit still kid!

So my little one wants to be everywhere.  It seems that he picked up walking pretty quick.  It was just a month ago that he just started walking.  The past few weeks, all he does is walk.  He very rarely crawls, unless he is on the bed.  Now, he walks around with his bottle in his mouth, toys to move around, clothes, you name it!  He even tourchurs our poor dog!  Well, not really torchur, more like wanting to play.  And what's funny is that when he's tired, he likes to lay down with his dog.  But he does love to crawl over him.
And bubbas is so patient with him!  Don't worry, we're always in arms length when Wyatt messes with Mr. T.  We haven't encountered any problems, and we know that we won't.  Mr. T is so used to it because we trained him since he was a puppy :-).  Yup, he got "abuse" treats.  He wasn't really "abused", we just did things kids would do to dogs so that he can get used to it.  He loves it anyway.  Apparently in the mornings when Daddy gets ready for work and Wyatt in his crib, he would call bubbas and bubbas would walk by the crib so that Wyatt can pet him!  Yeah, they're best buds, we love it!

Oh, and wyatt is developing so well!  On Sunday, during the Super Bowl, Daddy was talking to me about the Super Bowl trophy and I saw that Wyatt was just playing by himself in the middle of the room. So I started recording him.  I was just playing with my phone...  Anyway, When he looked up at me, I started waving.  He looked away for a second, looked back at me and he started waving.  I thought it was cute because it looked like he was trying to figure it out himself on how to wave!  He almost threw himself off too.  haha.  I love this little kid!  He is such a character.

Poor baby!

So I have been home with Wyatt all week.  Unfortunately he got some kind of cold.  Wasn't the kind of cold I had.  I had dry cough.  Him, however, had a horrible, horrible cough.  It was so bad that when he coughed, he'd cry.  I think his cough hurt him.  Today is not so bad.  But every night the past week, it took me 2 hours to put him back to sleep after he woke himself up from coughing.  So I haven't had much sleep myself.  I've been making sure that Wyatt is eating enough (but he would rather take his milk) and he's drinking enough too.  I have started him on drinking out of a straw though...  (I love those Take 'N Toss things, they're cheap and awesome!!!).  Anyway, he eats little but drinks lots!  It kind of started on Sunday and so I stayed home with him on Monday.  I tried getting him to go back to sleep, but he just did not want to be away from mommy, even if that meant nap time!  So finally around 4pm, he finally was down for a nap for an hour.  But i really wanted him to take lots of naps.  But thankfully on Tuesday, he took 2-2hour naps!  Those are much needed for my poor little sick guy.  This morning he woke up around 7:20am.  He played for a little bit, about an hour or so.  Then I put him down for a nap because he was being really fussy.  He wouldn't nurse, he would cry if i nursed him, or cry if I was holding him while sitting down.  So i fixed a bottle and put him in his crib and he is still asleep right now (10:30am).  We have a docs appointment today at 11:30.  So i know I'll have to wake him up soon to get him ready.  or maybe I can just get him, put him in his car seat and go.  Hopefully we can get this cold to go bye bye!  And hopefully it's not croup like what his daddy had.

The Best Christmas Present ever!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!  Well, Daddy and Mommy had, by far, the best christmas present ever: wyatt started to walk!  Yup, you read right, he started to walk.  Unfortunatly, we did not capture it as it was completely unexpected.

It started off just a few weeks ago when he was standing on his own.  He would stand just a little longer than he did the day before.  Then about a week before, he started to stand up on his own.  We knew we were going to be in trouble soon!  We knew that he's going to be walking any time now.  Honestly, we were expecting another few weeks or so.  Then on Christmas eve, when Daddy and Mommy were talking about what to do for dinner, Wyatt stood up and just started walking away from us!  Our jaws just dropped!  This was just completely out of the blue.  He did start to make one step, but it wasn't too impressive becauise it just looked like he just stomped his foot.

Now, every day, he walkes when he wants to, which is pretty much whenever!  And, he loves to body slam Mr. T as well when he walks towards him.  Of course, poor bubbas just looks at us with this "Oh... My... Gowsh... What's wrong with this kid???"

Excuse the mess please...  Kid just made the mess and I wanted to take the video before I miss him walking again.  Then I'd have to wait for a while for him to do it again...

Oh, and on Christmas... Yeah, our son is so... not spoild.  He only got a rocking horse, a lightning McQueen car, toys, toys toys, toys, toys, toys!!!!!  But, while opening presents, he was more interested in playing with the dogs water bowl...
