The Best Christmas Present ever!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!  Well, Daddy and Mommy had, by far, the best christmas present ever: wyatt started to walk!  Yup, you read right, he started to walk.  Unfortunatly, we did not capture it as it was completely unexpected.

It started off just a few weeks ago when he was standing on his own.  He would stand just a little longer than he did the day before.  Then about a week before, he started to stand up on his own.  We knew we were going to be in trouble soon!  We knew that he's going to be walking any time now.  Honestly, we were expecting another few weeks or so.  Then on Christmas eve, when Daddy and Mommy were talking about what to do for dinner, Wyatt stood up and just started walking away from us!  Our jaws just dropped!  This was just completely out of the blue.  He did start to make one step, but it wasn't too impressive becauise it just looked like he just stomped his foot.

Now, every day, he walkes when he wants to, which is pretty much whenever!  And, he loves to body slam Mr. T as well when he walks towards him.  Of course, poor bubbas just looks at us with this "Oh... My... Gowsh... What's wrong with this kid???"

Excuse the mess please...  Kid just made the mess and I wanted to take the video before I miss him walking again.  Then I'd have to wait for a while for him to do it again...

Oh, and on Christmas... Yeah, our son is so... not spoild.  He only got a rocking horse, a lightning McQueen car, toys, toys toys, toys, toys, toys!!!!!  But, while opening presents, he was more interested in playing with the dogs water bowl...

A visit to Santa!

On Sunday, December 16th, Grandpa took me and Wyatt to go see Santa!  I was a little nervous that Wyatt might throw a fit.  But he actually did really well.  There was a picture I saw that I wanted, but they already printed the pictures as soon as we payed.  **rolls eyes**.  I though Grandpa picked the picture.  I should have known better, he would never pick for us.  Grandpa says that it seems like now a days, visiting Santa is so comercialized!  So true!  I guess I should have researched malls more to see how they operate.  One of the other malls lets you choose your picture.  The one I wanted was when Santa and Wyatt were looking at each other.  It was too cute!!!!  Well, I have the mental picture now :-).  And a lesson learn.  I will have to ask if I can pick the picture from now on.  Anyway, off my rant...  We were there early because I had a Docs appointment that morning for something that just came up on my eye.  It was perfect too because when we got there, there was a very short line at 9:45am.  By the time we were done, the line was about 4 times long.  Crazy!!!!  We were kind of hoping Wyatt would do his cheesy cheese.  But he was just "blah" about the whole thing.  Which surprised us because as soon as he sees a camera, he is all smiles and giggles!!!!

Anyway, unfortunately, this year we won't have a tree or decorations.  I am crazy about Christmas (that's an understatement, just as dear hubby).  I have our decorations down, but haven't put anything up.  Maybe I will next weekend.  Wyatt loves the lights.  I do want to take him to Old Town so that he can enjoy the Christmas lights.  Maybe this coming Sunday with Grandpa and Dad.  I know Wyatt would LOVE that.  All the lights and the fake snow.  He would have a blast!  I think I may have to run that by Grandpa and see what he thinks.

So a little development update on Wyatt.  He is already standing on his own, but it seems like every day, he adds a few seconds onto his standing.  I know he's really going to start walking soon.  *tears* my little boy is growing up so fast!!!!  Ugh, I hate it :-(  Also, Wyatt has been extremely talkative lately.  Like really talkative.  He is just such a bundle of joy!  He knows who Grandpa is, Daddy, Mama and Bubbas.  Oh, and we know when he is full!  When he starts sharing his food with Bubbas...

First birthday, Thanksgiving and update!

So I know it's been months since I last posted.  Sorry, been busy.  Plus it's kind of hard trying to find time between taking care of a very active toddler and keeping up with housework and downtime for myself.  Well, November 10th had past.  It was Wyatt's first birthday.  We had a lot of fun with friends and family.  We celebrated his birthday at Buffalow Wild Wings.  Wyatt got a lot of gifts!  Lots of new clothes and toys to play with.  Wyatt had so much fun that by the end of the day, he was out like a light!

For Thanksgiving, we spent the holiday in So Cal.  It was so much fun!  The drive there was horrible though!  Not Wyatt, Wyatt was awesome because we left around 7pm so that he would be asleep majority of the ride.  Once we got past the grapevine, the traffic was horrendous!  It was bad at 2AM!!!  2AM, how is there traffic at 2AM?!?!?!  Anyway, I think we arrived around 4AM finally...  I couldn't wait to have my head hit the pillow.  I was so tired.  But the "vacation" we had was awesome.  Wyatt had a blast being around 4 dogs... yes... 4 dogs!!!  one of them was very protective of him.  She loves him so much!  It was too cute.  For Thanksgiving, Wyatt enjoyed Turkey, chicken, stuffing, sweet potato and my yogurt that his Lola made...  yeah, he didn't want to share my yogurt.  But he did share his Thanksgiving dinner with Bubbas!!!

And lately, Wyatt has been EVERYWHERE!!!  He's not walking yet, but we're pretty sure that he is going to in a few weeks.  Why?  Well, the kid is using anything and everything to help him walk.  He uses his walker, without being in it, and he really uses his little bike too.  And now, he's been standing on his own too.  And he is getting GREAT at it.  But this kid tires me out so much.  He is so active.  He loves to laugh, and smile, and play.  And now, he does this cheesy smile.  Like really really cheesy!  He does it on purpose of course.  We call it the cheesy cheese smile!

Well, I guess that's it for now.  I'll leave you with Wyatt's Cheesy cheese smile.

First Halloween!

Well my little guy was a little cowboy for Halloween.  Since he was too little to trick or treat (momma's choice), we thought we would see his grandparents.  We stopped by Grandma's first.  She was squeeling how cute Wyatt was.  We hung out with Grandma and pa pa pod for a while.  He got two  plastic base balls and a toy.  Then we stopped by Grandpa's work to say hi.  Hung out for a minute there and drove to Great Grandma's where we hung out for about an hour or so.  He was having a blast crawling everywhere, playing with his toys and playhing with the cup coasters.  Then when Grandpa came home from work, we brought the toy horse out in the living room.  We put Wyatt on it and he was having fun on the horsie.

Sorry this is short.  I haven't posted in Months and Wyatt's Cowboy costume is just too cute not to post :-)

He stole my apple!!!!

So today, I got some apples for me and Wyatt to share.  We sat on the couch, with Wyatt on my lap.  He saw that I was eating something, so I handed him my apple.  I was going to share it with him anyways.  But he loved it so much that he decided NOT to share with mommy!!!!  I tried to get a bite out of it, but he was holding onto it pretty tight.  Silly kid :-)

Worst cold... EVER!!!

I was home on Wednsday because Wyatt woke up with a bad cold.  It was so bad, mommy and daddy could not calm him down. He was fussy and crying and was just miserable.  I wanted to cry!  When I needed to potty, I tried putting him down, but he wouldn't let me,  he would just start crying before i even put him down.  It was so bad, he wouldn't even give us a small smirk.  He was in and out of sleep in my arms all day that day.  When he was awke, I would either nurse him or give him a bottle.  But he was only awake for a few minutes.  Then he would just lay back on me and fall asleep again.  The only time we left the house was when I went to pick up some meds for him.  Then, it was back to lounging around, watching TV, and sleeping.  Even though I wanted to nap as well, I didn't want to put him down to accidentaly wake him.  Plus, I was enjoying having him in my arms.  It was so comforting.  I gave him kisses, patted his back, cuddled him.  anything I could do to make him feel just a wee bit better.

On Thursday he was a lot better.  He did start smiling more.  Giggling a little.  But he did take a 2 hour nap, in which I decided to take with him!  He still had a runny nose, his cough was a bit hoarse.  But he was doing a lot better.  We did go see the doctor because he's never had such a bad cold!  Doc prescribed us soem antibiotics just in case he might have an ear infection.  But luckily we didn't need it.

I took him to daycare on Friday because I had an interview that morning.  He was really doing a lot better.  I asked his daycare provider how he was doing.  She said he is doing just fine.  When I picked him up from daycare, he started crying when he saw me.  His daycare provider said that it was just him and another little girl that was at daycare that day.  A lot of people around me have been getting sick!  Probably because of the drastic change in weather.

When we got home, I headed straight to the bathroom and started to not feel good at all.  What I was feeling was getting worse throughout the night.  Then Wyatt started to not feel good and threw up on me.  He threw up 3 times that night :-(  I think I have the stomach flu, and unfortunately passed it on to Wyatt.  Then when daddy got home, I think we passed it on to him too.  So the 3 of us were home all weekend feeling sick.  But Wyatt and I were feeling a lot better on Sunday.  Actually, Wyatt was acting like he was never sick on Saturday!  What a strong kid!  I'm just glad it's all done and over with now!  Please no more colds for a while!!!!

Lots to update!

Ok...  So a lot has been happening the past few weeks.  And you'll know why soon enough.  Well, unfortunately our dear friend and neighbor passed a month ago.  It was one hell of a week and one heck of a domino affect.  Just a fair warning, this post might be very long with this update.

On the sixth of this month, our idiot and selfish neighbor got arrested for a DUI.  We have told him numerou times how his drinking affected everyone around him, including his girlfriend, a dear friend of mine.  Well, the night of the sixth, he got pulled over and the cops found out he was drinking.  Not sure how, but we assume it was because he had an open container in his lap.  So he got booked and we all found out that this is his 5th DUI...  You would think you would learn right after the first, right???  Well, the next day, Friday, our neighbor was watching Wyatt like she usually does on Fridays for us.  She was so glad to have Wyatt that day because she said he made her smile and he made her day so much better.  I asked if she was doing ok and she confirmed that she will be just fine.  I made her homemade cheesecake and home made salsa as well.  Mostly for a "thank you" for watching Wyatt for us on Mondays and Fridays.  She loved it!  And she did seem fine on Friday.  She was saying how when "he" gets out that there would be no alcohol at all and if the parole officers want to do a random search, they can.  But we were trying to tell her to not get her hopes up too much, and to prepare for what might happen, whether he gets out or not.

On Saturday, I was busy baking cookies for a fund raiser at daddy's work.  I was in and out of the kitchen, playing with Wyatt, baking cookies.  It was one heck of a busy morning.  I saw our neighbor that day as I was getting ready to load up the cookies and Wyatt into the truck.  Since I had a bunch of cookies to bring to the store, I asked our neighbor if she can hold Wyatt while I put the cookies in the truck.  She seemed fine and dandy that day too.  She was having fun with Wyatt, making him laugh.  She always said he is just such a joy and such a blessing.  She absolutely loved being around him.  She always called him "Smiley" because that's all he would do...  is Smile and she loved that.  She loved his company...  Well, anyway...  I went to drop the cookies off at the store, hung out for  alittle bit and then headed back home.  When we got home, our neighbor, like usual, walked out of her door and towards the truck to greet Wyatt.  And in her hand, she made mac and cheese for him!  She was telling em how much he loves mac and cheese.  The rest of the day, wyatt and I just stayed inside.  He had his mac and cheese (which he LOVED!) and we just ended the day.

On Sunday morning, we heard a knock on our door.  It was the on-site manager.  She asked if we have seen our neighbor because they were supposed to go out and just drive to get her mind off of things.  I told her we didn't see her and that last time we saw her was the night before.  So we asked friends of ours (another neighbor) if they have heard or seen her.  But they haven't heard or seen her either.  So all day Sunday, we all were calling her, leaving text messages, etc.  But not one of us heard back from her.  By that evening, we heard that the incarcerated boyfriend's sister was coming by to their apartment.  We wanted nothing to do with them, we didn't want to help them.  But we did find out that our neighbor's dog was in the apartment all day.  Poor Sasha was by herself and scared.  We did ask the sister what they're goin to do with Sasha and she said "oh, we'll take her to the pound and 'retire' her."  Umm... I'm sorry... WHAT?!?!...  So now, we have a sweet little pit bull/terrier puppy living with us.  We've known her since our neighbors got her and no way in hell were we going to let them "retire" her.  Daddy had to carry her out of her crate because she was that scared!  Because Sasha was still at home and we still have not heard from our neighbor.  We all thought that she may have gone down the dark road and ended up in the hospital.  We each had a plan for Monday morning.  The manager was going to visit our missing neighbor's sister, the neighbor was going to check the hospitals and I was going to check online for any recent bookings.

I decided to stay home on Monday because Wyatt had a runny nose and a cough.  By 8am, I heard a knock on the door.  When i looked through the peep hole, I thought it was our neighbor.  When I opened up the door, it was a lady that asked if I had a key to the apartment next door.  Of course, Sasha and Mr. T came running up to the door barking.  When she saw Sasha, she asked if that was her.  So I explained to her that it was our neighbor's dog and that our neighbor has been missing since yesterday morning.  So she said she is our neighbor's sister and that she had some bad news...  And that's when I found out that our neighbor passed away that morning...  I was shocked because I just saw her the other day, lively and all.  Since she needed to look for paperwork, i took her to the on site manager's place.  Knocked on her door, and told her that it was our neighbor's sister that was here.  I stepped away and let them have a conversation.  And it shocked her too.  They went to the apartment, started looking through paperwork, and I got a call from daddy.  he said he was coming home with some coffee... and I told him I had some bad news...  Then our friend (the other neighbors) called me from her work, and I told her the bad news too...  it started to spread around us friends...  It hit us all real hard because not only was it just a total shock...  and not only was our neighbor our friend, but she was our family too.

She was Wyatt's favorite "aunt".  She watched him every Monday and Fridays and days when Wyatt wasn't feeling well.  When Daddy would leave in the morning with Wyatt, she would coem otuside to say bye to Wyatt.  When I came home from work, she would come out as soon as the truck was parked and come straight to the passenger door so that she can say Hi to Wyatt and hold him while I put our stuff into the apartment.  She loved watching him.  She said he was her joy.  She enjoyed every minute she spent with him.  We miss her so much.

Then, come Tuesday morning, both Greg and I got food poisining for a few days.  I stayed home for 2 days, but still wasn't feeling good until Friday.  Ugh, it was one heck of a week :-(

I really do miss my friend.  I had dreams about her that she wasn't gone.  When I see Wyatt, I think of her.  The days after we found out she passed, Greg and I were talking about how weird it felt that the routine we had, had a big impact on our lives.  We missed seeing her come say hi whenever we left.  We missed seeing her when we'd come home.  It felt so off not having that routine anymore.  It felt weird.  I would always stare at her door, just hoping she would just pop out to come say Hi to Wyatt.  But I am very glad and blessed to have met her and have become great friends with her.  She wa the type of person that you would be lucky if you had met her.  She was so down to earth, so caring and so lively.  She really did make mine and Wyatt's day.  She was a great person, one of a kind...  She will be missed.

Stop Growing Wyatt!!!!

So our neighbors brought in a walker for Wyatt from one of our neighbor's niece.  She said that it was just sitting in the garage collecting dust.  So they cleaned it up, got it all ready for Wyatt to enjoy!  he figured it out pretty quick.  We were all outside and I was just standing a few feet away from him in front of him and I had my arms out towards him telling him to come to mommy.  Then he had his arms out towards me too and started "walking" in his walker.  Oh it was just too cute!!!!  On carpet, he has not figured out how to move forward with his walker.  He only moves backwards.  But he loves it anyway.  He is eye level with Mr. T.  And he gets to smack Mr. T as Mr. T is moving around him.  Daddy can tickle him while he's in there too.  And he loves getting tickled!!!!

Him figuring out the walker has made him become a bit more brave... And I mean that he is trying to stand up on his own :-\... Ugh, not yet kid... not yet!!!  He is growing up so fast it's just so unbelievable.  It feels like it was just yesterday that I gave birth to this wonderful kid and now he wants to start walking... -_- *cries*

I know... it's life.  Just these past 9 months have gone by way too fast...  But I am enjoying it and I cherish every moment I have with Wyatt.

I won't even question it!!!! (oh, and TEETH!!!!)

So according to my mother in law, my step father in law is not too keen on babies.  He said that they're fragile, so he's afraid to hold them.  At least that's what he told me when Wyatt was just a few months old.  It's TOTALLY understandable.  I used to be that way too.  I was afraid to hold my cousins babies.  I did held her youngest because she had to do something and I think I was the closest to her compared to everyone else in the room.  I didn't know what to do, and I did not know how to hold him right, trying to feed him.  Ha!  And to think, this was a few years back, when Greg and I first started dating.

Well anyway, my mother in law was telling me how she had to pull teeth to try to get step father in law to hold his bio grand kids (he has two of the most adorable little granddaughters).  Well, actually he held the eldest for a picture and he just said no for the youngest.  He was reluctant to hold Wyatt at only a few months old (like i said, Totally understandable).  But just a few months ago, he was warming up to Wyatt.  We were visiting and he was holding Wyatt showing Wyatt around the house of objects that they own.  He handed Wyatt a toy.  The look on Wyatt's face "uh, mom, who's this guy???"  My mother in law was just STUNNED wondering how he feels so comfortable holding Wyatt at only 7 months old.  Just as my title states, she never questioned it, and I won't either.

Then over the weekend, when we had dinner at their place, Wyatt wanted to be next to him.  and my step father in law seemed to enjoy his company and amused at how curious Wyatt is.

Oh, and Wyatt's teeth are coming out!!!  We just can't see it yet....  I can feel it

2012 California State Fair!

So, as I stated in my previous blog, daddy had something planned for me on Sunday.  Grandpa picked us up at 10 am and we all headed to the California State Fair!  I love the fair!  I hate how expensive it is.  Grandpa treated us to the fair as a birthday present for us both as daddy's birthday is just a week after mine (so this coming Saturday).  Well, we started off drinking some beer and eating turkey leg and sweet potato fries.  And Wyatt tried a little bit of the turkey leg.  He didn't know what to make of it.  Then we started to just walk around.  We ended up at the birds of paradise area.  Wyatt saw all kinds of birds!  Grandpa was holding him so that Wyatt can see the birds better.  When we saw the peacocks, Wyatt was more intrigued by the waterfall behind the peacocks than the birds themself.  There was a parrot there that was just too cute!  The parrott was dancing and as soon as it saw me trying to take it's picture, it stopped adn posed for the camera.  Grandpa saw it too and him and I were laughing about it!

Then we headed to the Ag section.  Walked around and we saw some saddles and some toy stuffed horses for kids to learn how to saddle a horse and brush them.  So grandpa put Wyatt on a saddle and he was enjoying it!

Wyatt saw all kinds of animals at the fair.  He saw goats, billy goats, horses, chicks, bob cat, roosters, his eyes were everywhere!  He also saw all kinds of bugs too!

We then walked around toy-topia and he saw all kinds of toys.  Mommy and Daddy were showing Wyatt the kinds of toys we played with.  I wanted to get Wyatt all kinds of toys, like Raggedy Andy and a cute pop up toy with a bear instead of a clown.  But those were too expensive.  I'll get him those toys one day.  We got him a little license plate that has his name.  But daddy and mommy did win Wyatt some stuffed animals.  Daddy won him a dragon playing darts by popping balloons.  Mommy won him a big St. Bernard (bigger than Wyatt) by making a basket from the free throw area.  Wyatt had so much fun, he fell asleep in Grandpa's arms and napped for a long while.

Until next year!  And maybe Wyatt would be big enough to ride a kiddy ride.

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Ok, so I have LOTS to update you all on Wyatt.  But first, Today was an awesome day.  29 years old now and I so don't feel like it at all.  I have never been one to worry about my age.  I have friends around me "freaking out" because the "big three oh" is right around the corner.  I never understood it?  And I may never understand it.  Hmm...  But anyways, Today was the best birthday evar.  We had a bbq at the apartment with our neighbors and some friends.  Greg and I bought majority of the food, meat actually, and our neighbors made the sides to go with the meat.  We had steak, chicken, brats, asperagus with zucchini, homemade mac and cheese, pasta salad and fruit salad.  Everything was delicious.  And we still had a lot of left overs too.

Other than the company of good friends and neighbors, the best part of the night was getting a birthday card from Wyatt!  My neighbor stole him for a little bit while I took a shower and did one last vacuume run.  That's when she was having fun with him and the birthday card.  I LOVED it!!!!  She was telling me that Wyatt would not let go of that pen.  But then again, Wyatt has been amused with anything and everything he sees.  And he wants to grab everything he sees.

Now on to the more important stuff :-)

Wyatt is doing the inch worm, or breast stroke on the carpet.  So he's not quite crawling yet, but he's moving fast.  We skyped with his Lola the other day and she saw him breast stroke on the carpet as she calls it.  She was so amused by it and was so surprised at how mobile he is now.  Yup, I have to keep a close eye on that kid.  He wants to be everywhere!  Sometime last week, when I was changing Wyatt's diaper, well, I was trying to put his diaper on...  He was trying to roll over to get away from me.  Well, he did succeed, but what's funny is, when he finally rolled over, he quickly got on his hands and knees and started doing teh back and forth motion like he usually does before he moves anywhere, but he was doing it so hard that when he wanted to move forward, he launched himself towards the head of the bed and was laughing the whole entire time, with no diaper on!  Too funny!

And, when we were driving home last Sunday from Great Grandma's place, daddy said "hi wyatt" and Wyatt waved!  YES, my son waved at him!!!!  It was awesome.  At first we thought it was a coincidence, but we tried it again and he waved.  Sow e did it a few more times, and he waved each time.  But of course, everytime we want to show people, he just does not do it...  Also, that night, we had a bbq with the neighbors, Wyatt was eating watermelon all night, with no shirt on because I made that mistake the previous week!  So when it was bed time, I picked him up and he was sticky icky!  But that's not the best part.  I told Wyatt to say bye bye and so he waved.  and when everyone was saying "bye bye Wyatt", it litterally sounded like he said "bye bye"!!!  He hasn't done it again since, but OMG, it was amazing!  But it was also sad at the same time!  Bitter sweet....  Wyatt is growing up!  Ugh, I hate that.  But I wonder what he has in store for us too, I just wish time would move SLOWER.  But only during my Wyatt time!  haha.

Oh and the other thing, I think he said mama too... But dear daddy doesn't want to believe it, even though he has heard Wyatt say it once.... :-P

Fun-filled weekend!

My 2 cousins and their dad are in the US from Italy until sometime in August.  So the family drove/flew up from So Cal to San Francisco.  His Lola and lolo, Tito Rene, Mama Bing, Lola Marelou, Lola Ruby, Tita Nicolai, Lolo Sandro, Tita Shanna, Tita Franchie And Tita Chiara.  They arrived sometime Thursday evening in San Fran. and stayed the night there and walked around.  I met with them in Vallejo with Wyatt on Friday evening.  We had dinner at Max's restaurant next to Seafood City.  Wyatt also met his Tita Irene and his Tito Caloy that night.  They had so much fun with him.  And Wyatt loved being around Tito Caloy.  I shared some white rice with wyatt.  His Tita Irene heated up a plain baked potato and mashed it for him.  He loved that a lot too!

He was up late because we were out late.  Once we arrived to the hotel, he was up until 1 or 2am because some of family (mostly wyatt's tita's and tito rene) were in the room playing with Wyatt since he wanted to be up and play with them too.

The next day, his Lola knocked on the door at 7:30am.  I was still pretty tired, but somehow Wyatt was wide eyed and bushy tailed.  He was ready to play!!!!  Lola was having so much fun with him, of course!  We all went downstairs for breakfast.  Everyone was laughing at the fact that Wyatt wants his own food.  He was trying to grab mommy's food as he's sitting on my lap.  So his  Lola Ruby took him so that I can eat my breakfast.  He did have a little bit of white bread.  And boy, did he love it!

After breakfast, the whole family got ready to go sailing!  Tita Irene's friend owns a yacht in Vallejo.  So we drove out there, got ready and we sailed around Marin (I think).  It was Wyatt's first boat ride.  He had so much fun he fell asleep in his Lola Ruby's arms!  So mommy decided to sneak some time without Wyatt and sat in the front of the boat with Wyatt's Titas and Tito Rene.  It was a beautiful day to go sailing!  We all had so much fun!

After sailing, Wyatt, Tita Shanna, Tita Franchie, Tita Chiara, Tito Rene and Mommy drove out to San Francisco.  Wyatt hung out with mommy and tito Rene while the rest went to SF MOMA.  He took a little cat nap in the middle of it all.  After the rest returned from SF MOMA, we ate dinner and then drove around San Fran.  It was pretty cold that night!  We didn't really do much else.  So we drove back to Vallejo and picked up his Lolo Sandro to pick up some dinner.  Wyatt was up late again, until 1 am and woke up at 7:30am.  He was so cranky Sunday during breakfast.  But we all knew it was because he was so tired.  As soon as mommy got on the freeway, Wyatt was passed out all the way home.  When we got home, he was so excited to see daddy and his brother bubbas!  Shortly after, mommy had to go take a nap.

Wyatt had so much fun over the weekend that he fell asleep at 6:30pm and didn't wake up until 5am.  And he even went back to sleep and didn't wake up until 9am with daddy!  Plus!  He took a 3 hour nap.  but he did go to sleep at 8:30pm.  I thought he would be asleep later than that!

But this mom is ready for bed!  with lack of sleep over the weekend and going back to work...  It's time for some good nights rest!

Better feeling

He is feeling a lot better today, as you can tell.  His fever is down, so he is back to his normal temp this morning.  He woke up screaming this morning though.  Probably because he's teething.  But around noon, I noticed that he started getting a rash on his tummy and to his back.  None on his legs or arms, a little bit on his face.  So I called the advice nurse to find out what the rash was since Wyatt's doctor visit, she did say that sometimes a fever will start and a few days later symptoms will appear.  I explained to the advice nurse what has been going on since Saturday and that he developed a rash just on his torso and back.  So she told me that it's roseola.  Starts off with a high fever and once they're better and in normal temp range, then they develop a rash.  So she told me to just keep an eye on him.  He's doing just fine.  He's a little fussy, but that's because he's teething.  But he is still laughing, eating, pooping, peeing, etc just like any other day.  So the advice nurse took down my name and number so that I can get a doc note because she said that I may have to stay home the next 2 days.

So shortly after, Wyatt's primary doctor called.  First off, I LOVE his doctor!!!  Anyway, I spoke with him and he said that we don't need to bring Wyatt in because what I described to the advice nurse, definitely sounds like Roseola.  Then I asked him about daycare and he said that Wyatt is good to go back to daycare tomorrow and that it's not contagious now.  He was explaining to me as well that Roseola is common in infants and toddlers and not adults.

Overall, Wyatt is doing GREAT today :-) so glad to have my lil guy better.

I'll be going back to work tomorrow and Wyatt is good to go to daycare as well.

First high fever :-(

Saturday morning, I noticed that Wyatt's head was really warm.  Actually, it felt extremely hot.  I didn't really think much about it because he was acting like his normal self.  Just a little bit fussy.  So I checked his temperature anyways.  The temp read 102.7*.  I was in shock!  I've never seen his temp be that high.  The highest he has ever had was 100.4*.  So I called Kaiser and they asked questions to diagnose Wyatt and why he has a high fever.  He didn't have any other symptoms except being a little fussy than normal.  So Kaiser advice nurse told me to just give him tylenol and keep an eye on him.

I was checking on his temperature almost every diaper change since his head was still feeling warm all day.  At one point it did go down to 101* but before bed time, his fever went back up to 102.3*.  So I called the Advice Nurse again (first time mom, so I am of course overly concerned).  Told the advice nurse that Wyatt's fever went down a little, but came back up again.  So the advice nurse scheduled an appointment for Wyatt first thing Sunday morning.

Saturday evening, daddy was holding Wyatt while I was preparing dinner.  Daddy was telling me Wyatt was tearing up with the lip curl.  So poor Wyatt was crying without actually crying.  He was in pain from his fever.  Daddy wanted to cry for him.

I checked his temperature the morning of and his temperature was 101.9*.  After I fed Wyatt, Daddy and I got ready to take him to the Drs.  Wyatt was still asleep while we were getting ready.  I didn't want to change him out of his PJs because he was still sleeping, so we went to the drs in his PJs.  Other than his high temp, he was feeling just fine.  Playing and laughing.  He was enjoying seeing the Dr too.  I was sitting him up in the bed and he kept smacking the paper, crinkling it to make noises.  And he himself were making noises and smiling.

On the way home from the drs office,  Wyatt was not his normal self.  He was a little warm.  He just looked "blah".  During car rides, Wyatt is usually looking everywhere, especially out the window.  But he was looking down and away from the window.  The look that he gave us made me want to cry for him and try to take his sickness away.  My poor baby :-(  I just rubbed his head and his arms and legs and told him mommy will make him feel better.  I wish I was the one sick and not my lil guy.

He is feeling better today.  His fever FINALLY is below 100.4*.  But his stools are mucusy.  The doc did say that sometimes kids will develop a fever first and then symptoms start appearing a few days later.  So I'll be calling the Advice nurse about the mucusy stools.

Wyatt's first Fourth of July

We celebrated Wyatt's first fourth of July.  We had a little bbq with our neighbors that night and it was a lot of fun!  Wyatt didn't even go to bed until 10pm.  It was a wonderful day that day.  Perfect weather with awesom people!  After marinating the meat for us and our neighbors, we started barbequing.  We had baked beans, steak, chicken, chicken wings, corn on the cob, salad and potato salad.  It was delicious!!  The guys were having fun throwing their eaten corn on the cob from far away into the trash bin.  Wyatt was having fun being held by our neighbor and on-site property manager.  As the sun went down, wyatt was getting sleepy.  By 8:30pm, he was getting cranky, so I took him in, fed him and put him to bed.  Shortly after, the neighbor's son started lighting up some fireworks.  He lit a picalo peets and it woke Wyatt up since I left the bedroom window cracked open so I can hear him if he does wake up.  So I brought him outside and the son had a couple different kinds of fireworks, so he lit ones that had different colors and Wyatt loved it!  He fell asleep in our neighbors arms while I made some homemade cookies.  So glad he had a lot of fun.

PS: sorry for it being a little incoherent.  I'm a little tired and I'm going to bed now.  Goodnight world :-)

Yay! Gun Show!!!

Wyatt at his first gun show (Roadrunner gun show)

So grandpa treated us out to the Cal Expo Roadrunner Gun Show on Sunday,  July 1st.  It was Wyatt's first visit.  As you can tell, he was ready to go with his "Future Grunt" camo shirt.  We had fun at the show.  We didn't get Wyatt anything, I wanted to so bad since it was his first show.  I know, he's not going to remember it at all, but I wanted to get him something as a memorabilia.  But that's OK.  I hope we can make it to the Reno gun show in August.  That would be A LOT of fun!  Plus we could go to Cabela's too!  I LOVE that place.  Anyway, the gun show wasn't all that great.  2 buildings filled with vendors.  But that was it.  Just 2 buildings.  Daddy told me that it used to be way bigger.  He also said that he remembers his visit when he was a kid, his dad (Wyatt's Grandpa) bought him an M16 toy that had a detached magazine.  It was a small toy that got him started on loving the M16.  So I was looking VERY close to each and every booth for that same toy.  But unfortunately, the only M16 I found was a pen.  As cool as it was, I really didn't want to give that to Wyatt.  We were only there for 2 hours.  But still, it was worth it.  And guess what???  Guess what the theme was...  ARs.  Yup... those babies are popular.  They are leggos for adults.  Or what I like best, "Barbie for men."

Anyway, after the gun show, we went to Outback for lunch.  Gave some wheat breat to Wyatt, he loved it!  And he is really ready to eat solids solids.  He gets fussy if he doesn't get to eat too.  I put together some formula (I have formula with me just in case I don't have a chance to breastfeed him), but that wasn't enough for him.  Haha!  So today, I had some sweet potato fries and gave small pieces to Wyatt.  He loved chewing on them.  I love my little man, but he is getting big way too fast.

Clean bill of health!

Well... almost.  I went to see my doctor last week to talk about why I have been so exhausted since I've been back to work.  I called the advice nurse and they asked me to do some blood work before the doctors appointment to test EVERYTHING.  Everything came back normal (yay me!) except for Vitamin D.  My Vitamin D was a little low.  Definitely below normal.  So my doc told me to take 5000 IU of Vitamin D a day.  She then asked me if I'm taking my prenatal vitamins since I'm still breastfeeding.  Unfortunately, I was not.  So  she gave me this "look"...  yeah, I know, bad me... I don't know why I never took my prenatal vitamins.  Just wasn't on my to do list.  So then she looks more into my records.  She saw that I was diagnosed with post-partum depression.  So she re-evaluated me to see where I am at as it might be connected with being constantly tired.

Well, the verdict is, I am still moderately severe depressed (i think that's how she put it).  Basically I'm a step above severely depressed.  which I was originally diagnosed with and a month later, moved to a step above towards getting better.  I thought I was getting better than my recent visit to the doctor before i went back to work.  I wasn't feeling so stressed.  I was starting to enjoy things more.  I also wasn't so emotional either.  But I have been having a very hard time concentrating on anything and everything.  I have also been having a hard time falling asleep every night no matter how tired I am.  And every weekend when Greg's at work, I do stay inside and do nothing but play with Wyatt and lounge.  I have also been wanting to just sleep more than anything.  So on top of taking my prenatal vitamin and extra vitamin D (since prenatal vitamin does not have 5000 IU), my doc said that it might help if I increase my zoloft a little too.

So now, everyday I take 1 horse pill of my prenatal vitamin, 4000 IU of  Vitamin D and 150mg of zoloft.  So far it has been helping out.  We shall see in these next few months.

Uh Oh!!!!!

Looks like someone is learning how to crawl!

Came home from work last thursday and I put Wyatt on the floor to do some tummy time.  At first I thought it was my eyes that were playing tricks on me.  I thought I saw Wyatt doing a push up in my perifrial, when I was looking away for a second.  But I thought... "no way..." So as I was watching Wyatt, he did another push up and then he was on his hands and knees for a quick second!  I admit that

1st Birthday Excitement!

Last week, I used Mixbook to make Wyatt's 1st birthday invitations and we received them today!!!  I was telling my mom how excited I am for Wyatt's first birthday, but at the same time I'm not.  If you've been following my blog, I've been complaining about how fast Wyatt is growing.  And how fast time went by.  That's why I'm excited but at the same time not.

Yup, we just got the invitations today!!!!  Daddy was home with Wyatt today.  When I came home from work, he pointed to a box that was on the futon.  I asked if those were the invitations and yup they were!  I think he got excited because the top of the box is all tore up.  Our friend asked if it was too early to be sending off invites to Wyatt's first birthday.  But his birthday is 5 months away!  Crazy!!!!  Plus I would like to send the invites out to friends and family that are out of town so that if they can make it, they can plan for it ahead of time.  I can't wait to send them out.

I love the photo we used.  It took quite a few pictures to finally get the right one...  But it wasn't quite what I wanted.  But things with stuff happened and I couldn't get him back in his Blues for more pictures.  We received his blues 2 Fridays ago and I had the weekend and Monday to take pictures and create his invitations.  I bought a groupon back in December and it's expiration date was that Tuesday or Wednsday.  So I had a limited time to get the right photo.  With an infant and trying to get him to do what you want him to do can only be done in small time frames.  Oh and It's quite difficult to do it by yourself as well.  Daddy was out the day I took the photos, which were a Sunday and I figured I would get him started with the picture taking so that he can nap afterwards and get back at it again.  Well, I tried getting him to sit on his own, but he kept leaning back and wanting to lay down.  I couldn't get him to actually sit.  I tried a bunch of different positions with the cover next to him, or the cover on him.  So then I was playing with him and he wanted to stand instead of sit.  So I had him stand as I'm holding him with one hand and taking a picture here adn there with the other.  I kind of liked it that way.  So I tried to get him to wear the cover on his head.  It's daddy's cover, so it kept sliding to the side, to the front, to the back.... pretty much all over the place instead of just steadily on top.  But he was a squirmy little kid!  But out of all the pictures I took, this one was the best.  I was going to go for another round with him when Greg got home, but he started to rub his eyes and he was ready for bed.  So I took his blues off and got him ready for bed.  I was going to try again the next day to get the cover to be on his head straight, but shortly after we got home, poor guy threw up.  So I knew picture taking was just a no go at all that night.  So I knew out of all the pictures I took that Sunday, I had to pick the best one.  And honestly, I LOVE it.  It turned out great!

Trying to get him to sit was kind of difficult.  Since he can't sit on his own yet, his boppy is under the American flag and Marine Corps flag.  Since I'm still getting used to my camera and I don't have a hot shoe flash for lighting, I tried to see what the picture would look like if I turned the camera upside down.  Not too bad.  But still flat looking.
Most of the pictures I have is of him laying down.  I couldn't get him to just sit.

This one was one I liked as well.  But the boppy is showing (I don't have photoshop to fix that) and it's a little blurry.
Blurry a little as well.  But I wanted him to be looking at the camera instead.
Love the "tilted" cover.  It gave it the "oldies" feeling.

This one is pretty cute too.  But I wanted him to look at teh camera!

I think this was the only time I was able to take a picture with the cover on him right.  But he wasn't looking at the camera!!!!

So yeah...  A lot of pictures were taken.  And majority of them were blurry as I was shooting blind since I was holding him with my other hand.  But the invites turned out great any way!!!

Rollie Pollie!!!!

In my previous blog, I was talking about how Wyatt learned how to roll over from his back to his tummy.  Well, now he's just rolling around to get to where he wants to be.  He enjoys it so much that he'll even roll to Mr. T and just start giggling for no reason!!!!  It's too cute.

So now, I pull out a bed sheet and just placed it on the floor for him to enjoy.  I love laying down with him and when he rolls over to me, I'll give him raspberries on his little tummy.  He LOVES that.  Actually, he enjoys that.  He giggles so much.  I think he's loving the fact that he is more mobile.  He's not crawling yet.  But it looks like he'll be crawling real soon!!!  Uh oh...  That means that Mommy and Daddy are going to be chasing him all over the place.

Well, sorry for the short post.  But this mommy is going to play with Wyatt :-)

See you again someday...

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while.  A lot has been going on lately so I haven't had a chance to jump on here and blog about how Wyatt and us are doing.  Recently Wyatt's great grandfather passed away.  A few months back, I was able to take the last picture taken of Gread Grandpa.  His service was just this past monday, June 4th.
Wyatt with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa
The day Great Grandpa passed, I left work, picked Wyatt up and headed over to Great Grandma's and Grandpa's house.  It was a very sad day that day.  When we arrived, we just missed them taking Grandpa away.  GGrandpa had surgery just about 2 weeks before.  He was home a few days after his surgery and was chatting and alert.  GGrandpa got to see Wyatt roll over from his back to his tummy that day.  He also got to hear Wyatt giggle as I was tickling his tummy.  GGrandpa kept telling Wyatt how he was going to tell him all kinds of stories about his Grandpa (Wyatt's Grandpa).  He was also telling Wyatt how he was going to tell him how to get into things (get in trouble basically).  We all miss you GGrandpa.  But we're all glad that you're not suffering anymore.  I'm glad GGrandpa got to watch Wyatt grow and develop as a baby.  Even though it was only 6 months, He has grown a lot.  Size-wise and physically/mentally.  I remember bringing him over when he was just weeks old.  How tiny he was and how all he wanted to do was eat, sleep and poop.  Last Christmas, we were invited to spend Christmas day at Grandma's and also with GGrandma and GGrandpa.  I told daddy that I wanted to spend that Christmas with GGrandma and GGrandpa, just in case it might be the last Christmas.  And I'm glad we did.  Wyatt was just a few months old then.  And still the same.  He just ate, slept and pooped.

While I was on maternity leave, we would try to visit GGrandma and GGrandpa as much as possible.  Some days it would be just me and Wyatt visiting when daddy was working.  The visits were always hours long because visits were always fun.  Even though GGrandpa was a stubborn old man, he had such a warm and caring heart.  It was always fun to hang out with him.  To joke with him and just be there.  If you knew Grandpa, you would know his wealthy knowledge of antiques.  He had this obsession with peddle cars!  I always saw a little blue peddle car toy behind the couch.  I asked daddy about it one day and that's when I found out GGrandpa had that obsession.  Oh!  And his squirrels!!!  He has a few wood containers in the backyard filled with peanuts for his squirrels.  He was always talking about them.  How their fur was, or how the squirrels would chase each other.  Or how one would be sun bathing.  He loved his squirrels.  He would spend $20 per week just on a bag of peanuts for his squirrels.  Even though I only knew GGrandpa for only 5 years, I feel like we've been family for years.  He really did make me feel like his family.  He was always telling me to keep daddy in line.

My most favorite memory of GGrandpa was when GGrandma was in the hospital for surgery (this was years before Wyatt was born).  A few years before then, my grandmother passed away and was in the hospital in ICU for a while before going to a care home and she was very close to me.  Anyways, we all went to visit GGrandma in the hospital to send her well wishes.  Since it was ICU, only 2 at a time were allowed in.  So Daddy and Uncle went in first.  While the rest (me, Grandpa, GGrandpa and Aunt) of us were waiting outside, I started thinking about my Grandmother (who I call Lola).  And it started to bring back memories of her and of how much I missed her and the feeling I felt when I was told she passed away and the feeling I felt at her funeral.  So I had all this sadness just hit me like a brick all at once while we were waiting to be next to see GGrandma.  I didn't want to just start crying in front of them.  So I snuck away quietly to start crying because I couldn't hold it in anymore.  A few minutes later, I saw GGrandpa who was looking for me.  He knew why I was crying.  He sat me down in the waiting room and comforted me.  GGrandpa had a big heart.

We love you GGrandpa... Don't have too much fun with my relatives.

Grabbing feet

Smell my feet Daddy!!!!
Yup, Wyatt is at that stage where his feet are VERY amusing to him.  He LOVES to grab his feet any chance he gets.  The other day he tried to stick his foot in his mouth.  I think it's too funny.  He also started trying to grab both feet.  In his carseat, where he is securely strapped in, he will lift his head and try to grab his feet.  I guess it's a good thing as it helps build his ab muscles to start sitting on his own.  In his swing, he's always grabbing for his feet.

Other than that, time has been going by way too fast.  He's almost 7 months old!!!!  I was telling some of my friends how it felt like I completely missed the newborn experience.  Most of them said they felt the same thing.  Daddy's step brother said to him, when we found out we were pregnant, he said "Don't Blink".  And that song by Kenny Chesney "Don't Blink" is so true!  It seems like life went by so fast.  If there were a way to slow time down, right now, I would take the chance!  and the song "You're gonna miss this" by Trace Adkins.  Even though it's only been almost 7 months, I already miss him being so tiny!  One day he's small and sleeping most of the time, the next, he's rolling around trying to stick his feet in his mouth.

Giggle Monster!!!!

Since yesteryday, Daddy and I have been moving stuff from our upstairs apartment to the downstairs apartment (too many problems with our upstairs apartment to list) with the help of some friends (thanks so much for the help friends!!!!  It was GREATLY appreciated.  Even just baby sitting Wyatt was a HUGE help!). Well yesterday, I had a hard time with trying to get Wyatt to take a nap.  He didn't really nap much yesterday.  He only had 1 30 minute nap.  I felt bad that I couldn't help with the moving.  But as soon as Wyatt was down for teh count (for his nap), I was all over trying to help.  Daddy was so tired from moving, that a friend of ours invited us over for dinner.  So we headed over there.  Our Friend's kid is so adorable.  He saw Wyatt and immediately became excited!  He was constantly giving Wyatt kisses and showing Wyatt all his toys that he had.  Daddy went swimming while I was watching Wyatt.  Wyatt was not all that happy yesterday.  His diaper rash didn't help all that much either.  I think it was the lack of naps (because of stuff going on) and his diaper rash that was kind of making him a bit fussy.

But today was a total 180 for him.  He actually took 2 one hour naps today and he was very talkative and very interactive.  In the afternoon, I was standing just a few feet away from Wyatt and every time he would look at me, he would start sqealing (yeah... oh no!) and laugh.  At least he was able to laugh inbetween diaper changes.  he still has a diaper rash :-( poor guy!  He was a very happy little boy today.  When I was putting stuff away in the kitchen, Wyatt was in his swing, daddy walked in and asked me to look at my son.  So when I looked, he was holding his little feet!  It was so cute!  He just looked up and smiled at me as he was holding his feet.

Yeah, he was happy today!!

First Mother's Day

Wyatt chewing/sucking on a wet nap. Mommy's way of wiping his face since he hates that!

Aww, look at my little guy!  We visited Great Grandma and Great Grandpa on Saturday since Great Grandpa was back home.  Yay!!!  We spent quite a few hours entertaining everyone.  I was telling them how Wyatt has been teasing me with him rolling.  They have already seen him roll from tummy to back numerous times.  The last time they saw him, that's all he was doing.  And that was a month ago!  So, from my previous post, I mentioned how Wyatt has been rolling over from his back to his tummy and daddy was the only one who witnessed it (over and over and over again, and happily gloating about it too!).  Well, everytime I'm with Wyatt, He has been pretty much teasing me!  I've caught him TWICE on his tummy when I was gone for just a few minutes!  I just didn't see how he got there...  Everytime he's on his back, he would roll to his side with his lower half rolled, but his upper half not.  And he would roll onto his back, look at me and smile with this "Hi mommy, I know how to roll over, but I'm goign to teas you anyway."

But, when we were at Great Grandma's and Great Grandpa's, he rolled over TWICE!!!!  And I got to actually watch it taht time!  The first time I saw him, no one else was looking.  They were laughing at how he knew exactly when to roll over...  When no one was looking!.  Then the second time, we all witnessed him roll over!  He enjoyed the praise we gave him.  Such a silly silly little boy!

Oh (and onto my main topic of this post), Sunday, May 13th was my first official Mother's Day!  Really nothing exciting actually.  With me back at work and playing catch up with our finances, we didn't have any means to do anything.

I do have another confession to make...  I stopped taking my anti-depressants for about a week because I ran out and I didn't have time to go get them.  It (well still is) took a toll on me emotionally... BIG TIME.  The day before mother's day, I was almost in tears and I just couldn't figure out why.  I was so depressed and I knew that it was because I wasn't taking my meds.  So mom's out there, those who are taking anti-depressants, please don't skimp out on your meds no matter how happy you feel.  Don't skimp out on them until you are given the OK from your doc!  I don't like that feeling, and I don't want to go down that road again.

Anywho, with me fighting the depression and having my first mother's day of doing nothing, it was a huge emotinal drain on me.  I wanted to go out and do something, but at the same time, I didn't.  I couldn't make up my mom and just gave in and said we'll just stay at home.  We watched a few redbox rentals and just hung out at home and played with Wyatt.  Then Daddy took off to hang out with a friend of his for a few hours.  Wyatt and I hung out, napped a little, played.  You know, the usual mommy and son thing :-)  It was a lot of fun!  When daddy was home, I don't remember what happened, but I do remember that Wyatt and I took a bath together.  I loved it.  And Wyatt loved it more than him just being in his own bath tub.  I think it was because he was close to mommy and he got to play with water.  I washed him from head to toe and asked daddy to get him and get him into his PJs.  Then I finished my shower and  got myself into my PJ's.

When i walked into the living room, I saw this:
Wyatt in his High Chair with a card and box of chocolate for mommy!
Wyatt, Mr. T and daddy had a mother's day card and box of chocolate for me.  I started tearing up but held it in as best i could when I saw it.  When I started reading the card, I really started crying (not hysterically, just was dropping some tears I couldn't hide).  The rest of the night was nice.  I nursed Wyatt to bed, let my hair dry a little more, put it in curls and went to bed.  Even though we didn't do anything and I was kind of bummed we didn't realy celebrate mother's day, it ended really well and I wouldn't trade it for anythign in the world.  I love my little family.

Oh and that pink stick Wyatt is holding is one of my hair foam roller thingys (i really forgot what they were called) that daddy handed to him as a "drum stick"...  Oh boy.....

6 month milestone AND....

Officially reached the SILVER BOOB AWARD!

I know I posted a few weeks about the silver boob award, but I was so excited about being able to breastfeed Wyatt a total of (now) 6 months!  My recent post about Wyatt eating solid foods, well I did take a picture yesterday!  Well, quite a few actually.  I made sweet potato for this week for him to try and I've been sending it off to daycare.  I unfortunately (but fortunately) was home Tues. through Thurs. because I was sick and Wyatt had a Doc appt. on Thurs.  On tuesday He didn't have any solid food as I nursed him as much as I could because of the fact that I wanted him to have my antibodies my body was producing.  He doesn';t have my cold.  He has the sniffles, but that was before I got sick.  Anyway, I did feed him some sweet potato on Thursday though.  I think he's gotten used to how he's being fed with a spoon!  After a few spoon tries (I was feeding him the sweet potato with his spoon), he started reaching out for his spoon.  At first I would try to distract his hand someplace else, but he just did not want to.  Then next thing I know, he grabs the spoon!

And he decides to feed himself.  Of course, him being only 6 months old, it was more on his face than in his mouth!!!!  But he was enjoying so much of it.  Actually he was enjoying it so much that he threw a fit if I would try to take his spoon away from him!

Later that day we went to his well checkup doctors appointment.  He now weights 17lbs 0.6oz and 26 1/4" long!  So he gained about a pund in 2 months and grew almost 2".  His doc was asking me if he started solids.  I told him he started a few weeks ago.  And when I mentioned that Wyatt took the spoon from me and started feeding himself, he was erally surprised.  He was saying that babies don't quite learn how to do that until they're almost a year.  And then he called Wyatt a genius!  After he was checking Wyatt, he picked him up and had this surprised look on his face that Wyatt was quiet.  Then he said to Wyatt "Ok, now is mommy giving you cheetos?" haha!  I LOVE Wyatt's Ped.  It helps out a lot that he was also daddy's ped too.

OH, FYI, his shirt says "Lock up your daughters" for those wondering :-)

Yummy in the Tummy

Sorry, I don't have a photo of Wyatt having his first "solids".  But here's a cute picture of him anyways!

This is how Wyatt self soothes

Wyatt has been eating solids for about 2 weeks now.  He was on and off with solids since 4 months (mostly off).  But since daycare, I haven't been able to pump the amount he eats that I send to daycare.  So I had him start on solids.  I also gave Maggie (daycare lady) the ok to give him formula if he was still hungry and was not taking the solids.

So Wyatt has been eating solids for a few weeks now.  The first week I gave the OK, I think he had the usual baby food jar.  The second week, I sent puree'd apple and put the baby bullet to use.  This week I sent sweet potato!  I knew he liked the apple, not sure if he liked the sweet potato since I haven't experienced him experiencing it.  He did like the apple a lot though!  He ate a lot of it, i think about an ounce of it.   I made airplane noises as the spoon was heading towards his mouth and he just laughed and opened wide.  Then silly mommy would say "mmmm... nom nom nom nom nom!" and he would just giggle away!

I LOVE it :-)

Roll over!

For about 2 weeks, apparently Wyatt has been rolling over from his back to his tummy.  Last weekend, when Greg said that Wyatt's been doing that for a week now, I was surprised.  he thought I knew about it.  So all weekend last week, I kept a good close eye on Wyatt to see if he'll roll over.  I swear it seemed like he was teasing me!  He would have half of his body rolled.  He would kick his legs over, but he wouldn't turn his upper body to follow.  He would just arch his back and stare at me with a smile.  It was almost like as if he was saying "yeah mom, I know how to roll over..."

Wyatt now sleeps on his side.  He seems more comfortable that way.  It's so cute!!!!

Anyway, So I had Wyatt on his gym mat earlier today drinking his milk with his sippy cup.  I went into our closet to get something and as soon as I walked in the living room (where he was) he was on his tummy!  He looked at me with this "hey, what's up mommy!"  I just laughed and asked him why he didn't wait for mommy to watch him.  Oh, what a cutie!

I was gone for only a few seconds!
